Prospects in Theoretical Physics

From June 16 to June 20, 2014, the Institute for Advanced Study offered the 13th annual Prospects in Theoretical Physics (PiTP) summer program on the Institute campus in Princeton, New Jersey, USA.

PiTP 2014 focused on String Theory. The program was scheduled to last for only one week (instead of the usual two weeks) and to take place in June (instead of the typical July dates) so that it would immediately precede the STRINGS 2014 Conference occurring in Princeton from June 23 to June 27, 2014. As usual, regular participants of PiTP 2014 were advanced graduate students and postdoctoral scholars, and participants were expected to be actively working in String Theory. In considering applications to PiTP 2014, the Committee gave priority to applicants who also were registered participants in STRINGS 2014.
